* For 12 cups cake pan
We like halva and we like it even more in cakes. That's why the cake recipe that follows fills us with joy. The cake is easy, fasting and with few ingredients. What do you say?
As Easter approaches, we look for flavors that remind us of the season, some tahini, some halva, semolina and sesame are some of our favorites. In this cake recipe using the Nordicware Swirl cake pan, we think we've nailed it.
MATERIALS :halva
For the Cake:
400 gr. orange juice.
200 gr. white sugar.
500 gr. vanilla halva.
100 gr. olive oil.
500 gr. self-rising flour.
1 tbsp orange extract (find it here< /a>).
Minimum salt.
THE RECIPE:
Crush the halva in the mixer bowl and that's the only way this fasting cake will start.
Add all the liquids and sugar and beat for 5-6 minutes, initially at low speed and then at high speed.
Then add the extract and the flour to the mixture and beat for a while until it is homogenized in the mixer bowl.
Transfer to an oiled cake pan (due to fasting) and sprinkled with breadcrumbs, or even better with spray (find it here) and toast.
Bake in a preheated oven, 170 degrees air, for 60-70 minutes checking the doneness with a toothpick.
Leave for 10 minutes and unmold, even better on a wire rack to cool evenly. (find it here )
If we want a little more flavor, sprinkle with baking powder.
TIP :
Remember to use breadcrumbs and non-stick oil spray for easier release.
Good luck!
For the quantity of the halva cake recipe, you will need a 12-14 cup mold and even better the
