THE RECIPE:

Before starting the recipe for the orange chocolate cake, it would be useful to say again that in a cake the ingredients must be at room temperature before mixing them.

  1. Let the butter and eggs come to room temperature and preheat the oven to 175 degrees in the air.

  2. Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, scraping the bowl now and then.

  3. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.

  4. Add to the butter mixture alternately with the orange juice.

  5. Place the orange zest and chocolate in the mixture.

  6. Bake the cake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  7. Remove the cake from the oven and leave it in the pan on a wire rack for 20 minutes.

To make the frosting:

Mix all the ingredients for the glaze in a saucepan, stirring until completely combined.

After turning the cake out of the pan onto a serving plate - immediately spread the frosting on top.

Good luck!
