Recipe for Lemon Cake, cool afternoons

MATERIALS :Lemon Cake


For the Cake:

  • 500 gr. self-rising flour

  • 250 gr. butter in temp. room

  • Zest and juice of 2 large lemons

  • 250 gr. milk

  • 400 gr. sugar

  • 5 eggs

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract


For the Glaso:

  • 200 gr. powdered sugar

  • Juice of about half a lemon and zest (find it here).

  • Minimum salt.

THE RECIPE:

  1. In a bowl, mix the milk with the lemon juice and set aside. It will look like it's cut, but that's what we want.

  2. Put the sugar and the lemon zest in the mixing bowl and rub the sugar with your hands so that it is flavored by the zest.

  3. Add the softened butter and beat at high speed until the mixture becomes fluffy.

  4. At medium speed, add the eggs one by one, waiting for them to be incorporated each time.

  5. Lower the speed even more, add the vanilla and the flour and the milk, alternately starting and ending with the flour. Once the ingredients are homogenized, stop the beating.

  6. Transfer to a buttered and well floured form or even better with spray (find it here) and toast. Bake in a preheated oven, 170 degrees in the air, for 50-60 minutes, checking the baking with a toothpick. Wait 10 minutes and unmold.

  7. In a small bowl, mix the flour with the juice and zest until you have a thick glaze and pour over the cake. With the above instructions, the lemon cake recipe you were looking for and couldn't find will be revealed to you.

TIP :

Remember to use breadcrumbs and non-stick oil spray for easier release.
